1.Festival of flowers in Keukenhof park, the Netherlands
Nowhere in the world will you find so many flowers in one place like in the Keukenhof Royal Park of Flower, because over 7 million tulips, daffodils, crocuses and hyacinths spread out there on the area of 32 hectares. The unique combination of the floral exhibitions, inspiring gardens, art and special events will plunge you into a real spring fairy tale. Each year, the park is open only for two months. In 2017, it will be open from March 23 to May 21. The Dutch design is the theme of the park this year.
2.Flower Show Floralia, Brussels
The grand annual international flower exhibition will be held near Brussels in the park in the grounds of the Groot-Bijgaarden castle. About one million bulbs of spring flowers will be planted on 14 acres of the park. 500 varieties of various plants: daffodils, hyacinths and, of course, tulips, which will have about 400 varieties. Flowers, and flower compositions will be updated in a greenhouse of 1,000 m2 every Friday. Nearby there is a garden dedicated to rhododendrons and azaleas. The exhibition will be held from April 7 to May 5, 2017.
3.RHS Chelsea Flower Show, London
Chelsea Flower Show is one of the largest garden exhibitions in Europe and lasts just for 5 days. It is an important place to monitor the current trends in gardening. Both new plants and well-known varieties are presented at the exhibition, and the competitive demonstrations of the world's leading designers, gardeners and florists are held. The Queen herself is a frequent guest on the Chelsea Flower Show, and therefore it is always recommend visiting this spectacular event! The exhibition will be held from May 23 to May 27.
4.Flower Festival in Madeira
Spring in Madeira is truly treated like a queen. The Flower Festival becomes a culmination, which is held here every year after Easter. The festival includes an exhibition of flowers, music and amazing parades passing through the streets of the capital of Madeira, with cars decorated with fresh flowers and people in costumes who seemed to come out of a fairy tale.
An integral part of the flower festival is a call to love, respect nature and people. Among the activities, there are preparation of the flower carpets on the central square of Avenida da Arriaga, awarding with prizes for the best showcase of the flowers exhibition, flower market where you can buy and just look at the plants, the performances of the traditional music groups, classical music concerts and other shows. The festival will be held from May 4 to May 21.
5.Flower festival Floriade, Canberra
One of the highlights of the Australian spring, starting in September and ending in October, the city turns into a huge flowering meadow, what attracts crowds of tourists from all over the world. During Floriade every flower is a part of a unique pattern created by the talented designers and florists. Every year, these designs are combined with own theme, which fills the holiday with a special meaning. The festival program is very diverse - gardening lessons, workshops, film screenings and photo exhibitions. The festival will be held from September 16 to October 15.
6.Epcot International Flower Festival, Orlando
The festival takes place in one of the Disneyland parks. On a huge area there are flowerbeds and gardens, where hundreds of species of flowers, shrubs and trees convey the atmosphere and charm of the cartoon characters of the world famous Walt Disney Studios. The festival enjoys great success among florists, gardeners, US residents and guests. During its work the park visitors can admire the fabulous figures, participate in workshops on floral design and landscape design. The festival will be held from March 1 to May 29, 2017.
